Hunting licenses are required for anyone 12 years of age and older. Fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 years of age and older. Completion of a Hunting Safety course is required for Firearms Hunting Licenses. For a listing of Conservation Education/Firearms Safety Program classes go to the DEEP website
Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis and expire on December 31st.
No Fishing License is required on Saturday May 13, 2023; however, all other rules and regulations still apply.
A free one-day license is valid on

- Saturday August 12, 2023
2017 FREE 1-Day Fishing Days: June 18th and August 12th. Free 1-Day Licenses are required and may be obtained approximately two weeks before each date at participating Town Clerk offices or DEEP locations.
Turkey permits are now included in the Resident Game Bird Conservation Stamp
