The Board of Selectmen has received multiple requests to improve safety at the Maple Avenue/Rt 68 intersection. Crash data for the past three years can be located on the town website.
The town has worked with the Department of Transportation to remove stumps and regrade the slope, remove trees, remove brush/trees at the bottom of the hill, remove the church parking lot sign, and backfill the washout areas by the edge of the road and install curbing where it is necessary.
The town will hold an informational meeting to present further ideas and to hear feedback from residents. The meeting will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., on the 3rd floor of the Town Hall and remote via Zoom. More information, including meeting access can be found here
