Visioning for the Future of Durham

To view the approved Plan of Conservation and Development follow the link below:

The Planning & Zoning Commission of the town of Durham is very pleased to announce that the draft edition of the new Plan of Conservation & Development is now available. This edition is the product of many hours and much effort by commission members, using input received through:

• 2014 Visioning Session
• 2016 Visioning Charrette
• Successful On-Line Survey
• Outreach to other Boards, Committees and Commissions
• Verbal, Paper and Electronically-submitted Public Comment
• Seven (7) PoC&D Workshops

Readers will find the new document to be more user-friendly; with goals and actions clearly stated at the end of each chapter. What remains unchanged is the plan’s Mission Statement, and the Planning and Zoning Commission’s commitment to protect Durham’s charm, character and property values.
