Update on Robbery at Krauszer's Food Store:

On Wednesday 02/28/18, the above named suspect from Waterbury was arrested on outstanding arrest warrants. The accused is believed to have committed two (2) commercial robberies in Durham (Krausers’ Food Mart on 12-27-17 & Valero Gas Station on 01-07-18). The accused is also believed to have committed other numerous armed commercial robberies through-out the State of Connecticut where he was charged and arrested for those crimes. The accused was processed for Robbery 1st Degree and Larceny for the Durham crimes. He was later arraigned at Middletown Superior Court for said charges. Case Closed by Arrest.

Robbery at Krauszer's Food Store

On Wednesday 12/27/17, the Office of the Killingworth & Durham Resident State Trooper began a criminal investigation into two separate early morning robberies that occurred at Country Cloverleaf Gas Station (#237 Route 81, Killingworth) & Krauszer's Food Store (459 Madison Road, Durham).

At approximately 5:09 am, the victim in the Cloverleaf parking lot was confronted by a lone white male in his 40's, wearing black gloves and a dark colored knit hat. The suspect got into a physical altercation with the victim and then left in a silver color sedan.

At approximately 6:25 am the same suspect got into a physical confrontation with store clerk at Krauszer's Food Store in Durham. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and then fled in a silver color sedan. The suspect along with the vehicle shown is believed to related in both robberies.

Larceny of Cigarettes at Grippo’s Mobil Station

On Monday, January 30, 2017 at approximately 2243 hours, the Office of the Durham Resident State Trooper along with Troop F Troopers began a criminal investigation into a larceny of cigarettes at Grippo’s Mobil station, at 349 Main Street Durham.

The suspect, a lone black male, walked into Grippo’s Mobil at approx. 2240 hours, and went to the front register to purchase cigarettes. The suspect asked for 15 packs of Newport cigarettes valued at $150. Once the 15 packs were placed in a plastic baggie, the suspect took the bag and ran out of the store. A State Police K-9 track was conducted with negative results.

The suspect is described as a black male, goatee, 30-35 years old 5’8-6’0, approximately 150-180 lbs, fleece type jacket with rear print stating, “ Panama City Bitch”, dark colored jeans and sneakers. Larceny of a Kubota Tractor

On Friday 09/02/16 @ 11:30am, TFC Gwiazda #764 along with the office of the Durham resident state trooper, began a criminal investigation into the theft of a 12 year old Kubota tractor, color orange. This theft occurred from a farm located at #186 cherry lane in Durham, Connecticut.

The tractor was last seen on the back of a trailer on Wednesday 08/31/16 between 1100 and 1500 hours. The trailer was being towed by a black dually pickup which was traveling eastbound on Higganum road. Anyone with information is asked to contact TFC Gwiazda #764 @ 860-399-2100. Commercial Burglary

On Thursday March 17, 2016, Durham Resident State Trooper TFC Morello began a criminal investigation into a commercial burglary located at 325 Main Street, (Dine-In Durham). 

Forced entry was made by smashing the glass located on the front door and then entering the business from the front door. Taken from within the business was the cash register which contained some money. No other merchandise was taken or anything else was damaged.

This crime occurred from 2:30pm on Wednesday 03/16/16 to when it was discovered on Thursday 03/17/16 @ 6:30am.

Residential Burglary Alert

The Office of the Durham Resident State Trooper is investigating a residential burglary located at #309 Wallingford Road, Durham. This burglary occurred on Monday 12/14/15 between the hours of 6:45am – 2:45pm.
The homeowner came home to find that the rear plastic sheeting was cut that lead into her patio room, which was the initial point of entry. Upon further investigation, it was determined that jewelry along with an HP laptop computer was taken.

Larceny of Truck Cap

Troop F is investigating a larceny of a truck cap from 18R Packinghouse Hill road in Durham. This larceny occurred sometime between 10-31-15 and the morning of 11-07-15. The truck cap was stored behind a shed and is described as a navy blue Fedco 6 1/2 foot fiberglass cap with a Marciano truck parts sticker on the rear valued at about $300.
